Public Outreach and Dissemination

spaXio is committed to sharing its discoveries and advances with the scientific community, industry, and the wider public. Through open-access publications, conference presentations, and workshops, we ensure that our findings contribute to global scientific progress. We actively engage in public outreach activities to raise awareness about metastasis research and the power of spatial biology, aiming to inspire the next generation of scientists and foster an open dialogue between research and society. By promoting transparency, collaboration, and accessibility, spaXio strives to maximize the impact of its research across disciplines and communities.

SpaXio’s commitment to openness and engagement is led and put into action by Maria Alieva (CSIC-UAM). We focus on creative, inclusive, and impactful ways to communicate science — both within the network and to the wider world.

Some of our envisioned activities include:

Organizing “Ink and Insight” workshops to train Doctoral Candidates in science writing, design, and digital communication.
Running the “Imagine Science” campaign to transform research into art, stories, and visual experiences that spark curiosity and empathy.
Hosting “Changing Perspectives” workshops to promote diversity, inclusion, and open dialogue in research, culminating in a short documentary film.
Engaging with the public through European Researchers’ Night, school visits, and "Science Curiosity Conversations".
Presenting SpaXio’s research at international conferences and collaborating with related European initiatives.
